Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My mother contracted German Measles while pregnant and my older brother had severe developmental disabilities. Eventually he was sent to a state facility. The deplorable conditions and disregard for human dignity and family input left an indelible impression. I want to make sure that when people need the health care system that they understand what is happening, get excellent and coordinated care and are seen as a person, not a case.
