Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
Who has experienced a test, procedure or physician's office visit with a high level of understanding? No one person- even in the best of healthcare environments - has clarity and control in these situations. The healthcare language consists of "sign here", "take this prescription", "see you in 6 months!", and "go pick an assisted living place." I am an experienced registered nurse (RN) with decades of representing and guiding people through the complex maze of healthcare.
Accountability to the client is my priority. I understand fear and confusion during a critical time. I expertly guide an elder and care partner of one's civil rights to make an informed healthcare decision based on available options. I create a team of professionals who listen, advise and walk with the client to a more predictable course of security and quality living. An elder has the right to ask, know and decide.
