How I Can Help
Our main focus for the last four years have been cancer patients, however we have a broad array of experience. We serve to elevate the voice of our patients to assist them in being treated humanely, as an individual, with a say in their healthcare plan and with respect. Patients who are unable to have their needs met by a healthcare provider utilize our services to highlight that need, and to be able to stay the course of their treatment path. We are in your corner and will do everything we can to carry your wishes through to fruition. We love to empower our patients through various means including research and resources, so their autonomy can be paramount in their healthcare.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
The reason I founded Advocacy Allies was my experience with a patient advocate when I delivered my son and went into heart failure. Every specialist wanted me to give up my dream of breast feeding, but my patient advocate found heart medications allowing me to continue. When the cardiologist pushed back without good reason, she pushed tot the safer medication citing references. He read them, and eventually agreed. All the nurses in the cardiac ICU were impressed and learned something that day, as did the cardiologist. I loved how her advocacy for me not only helped me and my baby, but she educated the cardiologist and a floor of nurses who would be treating other patients like me. I found this to be an absolutely amazing way to help educated others throughout the medical system, I have since used healthcare advocates and nurse navigators at every opportunity. I have also served as a healthcare advocate for many years, with the most recent years focused in cancer, as this has been a part of my own journey.
