How I Can Help
My ideal client is someone who feels lost in the complexity of their own healthcare, whether they are navigating a new diagnosis, living with a chronic condition that has never been fully addressed, or simply trying to get answers that no one has taken the time to provide. They may be exploring integrative or alternative approaches to their care and aren't sure where to start, or they may have tried everything the conventional system has offered and are looking for someone who can help them think differently about their options. What they have in common is this: they know something isn't right, and they are ready for a partner who will take their experience seriously and help them find a way forward. I empower clients and their loved ones by providing tailored support to navigate the complexities of healthcare with confidence and peace of mind.
Services include:
*Chronic Pain Expertise: Helping clients shift from medical management to self-management to interrupt the pain cycle and improve quality of life.
*Integrative & Alternative Medicine: Helping clients navigate and access integrative and alternative therapies — including acupuncture, oriental medicine, and anti-inflammatory nutrition — as part of an evidence-informed, whole-person approach to chronic pain management.
*Care Coordination: Ensuring seamless communication among providers, departments, and health systems.
*Education & Research: Providing clear information on diagnoses, treatment options (including alternative therapies), and personalized guidance for health changes.
*Appointment Assistance: Scheduling, securing second opinions, arranging transportation, and attending or transcribing appointments.
*Billing & Insurance Support: Advocating for coverage, negotiating medical bills, and minimizing unnecessary expenses.
*Wellness Coaching: Helping people build healthy habits, make positive changes, and focus on preventing health problems before they start.
At WellGuide, safety and empowerment are at the forefront. Whether you need a trusted advocate, a compassionate guide, or personalized coaching, I bridge the gaps in care to ensure you receive the support you need and deserve.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My journey into patient advocacy began with my own story. Being diagnosed with epilepsy as a child, my parents taught me early on the importance of self-advocacy. I had early experience with what it feels like to navigate a healthcare system that can be overwhelming, confusing, and at times, deeply isolating. Rather than being discouraged, those experiences ignited a passion for understanding health and healing from every angle, leading me to pursue education in Eastern healing and pain science.
Some of the most powerful lessons I have learned did not come from a classroom or a clinic. When my father was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive bile duct cancer, I found myself in an entirely new role, sitting beside him, doing everything I could to make sure he was heard, understood, and that his pain was adequately treated and managed with compassion. It was there that I got my first real taste of what advocacy truly means and just how critical it is. That experience led me toward public health and, eventually, to a career in higher education and community health program implementation. Over the years, I developed a gift for translating complex medical and insurance language into something real and understandable for the people who needed it most.
Then in 2015, my perspective deepened in a way I hadn't expected. My own diagnosis of an autoimmune disease gave me firsthand insight into what my clients face every day in terms of the fear, the frustration, and the exhausting work of simply trying to get the care you deserve. Just when I felt like I was getting a handle on my healthcare and navigating the system, COVID changed healthcare in ways none of us were prepared for.
That intersection of lived experience, clinical knowledge, and deep personal understanding is the foundation of WellGuide Advocacy. I started this work because I firmly believe that getting good care should not be this difficult, nor should it require a medical degree. I also understand the importance of having someone in your corner who understands both the science and the humanity of it makes all the difference. I am a patient advocate, a pain specialist, a caregiver, and someone who has sat in many of the same seats my clients sit in. It shapes every conversation, every care plan, and every moment I spend supporting the people I work with.
