Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My journey into patient advocacy began with my own experiences as a person with epilepsy. These early health challenges inspired me to pursue education in Eastern Healing and Pain Management. While working in direct patient care, I realized my passion for educating and advocating for others, leading me to focus on public health and advocacy.

In 2010, I began a career in higher education, later combining it with community health program implementation. This work sharpened my ability to simplify complex medical and insurance terminology for those unfamiliar with it. My understanding deepened in 2015 when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, giving me firsthand insight into the struggles faced by individuals with chronic health conditions.

The pandemic further exposed the challenges of navigating an already complicated healthcare system, underscoring the critical need for patient advocacy. My mission is to break down barriers, guide patients through these complexities, and ensure they receive the care they need and deserve.
