Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I am a self described "medical snob" having been very ill as a teenager and the good fortune to work with top doctors for my condition. My happy ending story led to collaborating with doctors, nurses and pharmacists as a key facet of my professional experience running big businesses for Fortune 500 companies. Throughout, I was asked by friends and family to advocate for them and after many told me that this was my calling, I decided to listen. Several years later, I can say that it was the best decision I ever made. Patient advocacy is the most gratifying work I have ever known.
