How I Can Help
As a physician with lived experience of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), I understand firsthand the challenges of navigating life with complex, poorly understood conditions. Through my coaching practice, I offer expert guidance to help you take control of your health journey:

* Make sense of confusing or conflicting advice
Cut through the noise of internet forums and scattered provider opinions with expert insight grounded in evidence and experience.

* Connect with knowledgeable providers
Gain access to a curated network of professionals who truly understand conditions like EDS, HSD, POTS, MCAS, and more.

* Communicate more effectively with your care team
Learn how to advocate for yourself in medical settings, ask the right questions, and ensure your concerns are heard.

* Get help preparing for appointments
Organize your medical history, symptoms, and priorities so you make the most of limited face time with specialists.

* Feel supported by someone who gets it
Work with a coach who understands the daily impact of conditions like tethered cord syndrome, cervical instability, Tarlov cysts, ME/CFS, and gastrointestinal issues like gastroparesis.

* Prioritize next steps with clarity
Whether you're newly diagnosed or years into your journey, I can help you map out what comes next with confidence and purpose.

* Receive personalized, compassionate guidance
You don’t have to do this alone. I offer support informed by both clinical expertise and personal experience.

My Survivor Support Advocacy Qualifications
I am a survivor of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), Tarlov cyst, dysautonomia, mast cell disorders, CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome), and Hashimoto's thyroiditis
I experienced health problems from birth but no one connected the dots until a rheumatologist diagnosed me with hEDS at age 47.
My hEDS ultimately interfered with my ability to practice as an OR anesthesiologist.
In 2017, I opened my medical practice focused on pain medicine for those with connective tissue disorders like EDS and HSD (Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders). I started my podcast, Bendy Bodies, in 2020 to provide accessible information about these complex and under recognized conditions. I opened my worldwide coaching practice under Bendy Bodies in 2022.
Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I have been practicing medicine for over 20 years and have helped countless people just like you restore function and improve their quality of life. My special interest in treating performing artists (who are at increased risk of hypermobility disorders) stems from my many years as a ballet dancer and shattered dreams of turning professional due to my own hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS).

An integrative medicine physician with certification in Performing Arts Medicine, I take a unique approach to coaching this highly specialized population.

Regardless of how your hypermobility impacts you, from asymptomatic to polysymptomatic due to Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD), or another painful condition, I can help!
