How I Can Help
With over a decade of nursing experience across home health, community health, orthopedics, and utilization review, I bring a unique blend of clinical knowledge and healthcare system expertise to every client I serve. I understand both the patient’s perspective and the inner workings of hospitals, insurance companies, and care providers—allowing me to advocate effectively and resolve complex issues with clarity and compassion.

I assist clients by reviewing and explaining medical bills, identifying errors or overcharges, appealing denied insurance claims, and coordinating with providers to ensure accurate and fair billing. My goal is to reduce the stress and confusion that often come with navigating the healthcare system so that clients can focus on their recovery and well-being—not paperwork or phone calls.

Drawing from my personal experience of overcoming insurance and billing challenges after my own medical treatment, I approach each case with empathy, persistence, and a deep commitment to fairness. I empower my clients to understand their healthcare rights, make informed decisions, and achieve the best possible outcomes—both financially and medically.

I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation to discuss your situation, answer questions, and determine how I can best support your needs. Because every client’s circumstances are unique, service fees are determined by several factors, including the complexity of the case and the level of assistance required.

I provide flexible options such as hourly rates and, for some client services, a sliding scale to ensure that advocacy support is accessible to those who need it most. My goal is to make professional patient advocacy both effective and affordable while maintaining the highest level of personalized care.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My journey into patient advocacy was shaped by a personal experience that changed my perspective on healthcare. After undergoing an urgent, non-elective treatment, I expected to focus on my recovery and well-being. Instead, I was met with mounting medical bills—despite having both primary and secondary insurance coverage. I had completed every step as a responsible patient: submitting information, paying premiums, and covering co-pays. Yet, I still received letters from the hospital claiming I owed thousands for a medically necessary procedure.

Even with my extensive background in healthcare and insurance processes, I found myself anxious, confused, and frustrated by the denials and lack of clear answers. After months of persistent communication and appeals, my final medical costs amounted to only 1% of the original denied claims. That experience opened my eyes to how many others face similar struggles—often without the knowledge, resources, or support to fight back.

From that moment, I was determined to ensure that no one would have to face these challenges alone. I founded my patient advocacy practice to help individuals and families navigate the complexities of medical billing, insurance claims, and care coordination. My goal is to help clients focus on their physical and mental health while I handle the administrative and financial burdens that can so easily overwhelm them.

Through the Health Equity Liaison Program, I am proud to support patients from all backgrounds—especially those who have historically faced barriers to equitable care. My approach combines clinical expertise, insurance knowledge, and compassionate advocacy to ensure every client receives fair treatment and the peace of mind they deserve.

What I enjoy most about my work is empowering people—helping them understand their rights, access the care they need, and restore confidence in a system that can often feel overwhelming. Every patient’s story matters, and I’m committed to making sure their voices are heard.
