How I Can Help
My services include preparing and organizing medical documents, providing transportation to and or attending medical appointments, pre-appointment consultations to prepare for appointments, summarize appointment details, assist in follow up with PCP or specialists, research conditions and offer alternative medical intervention, provide family counseling if there are conflicts in treatment desires, assist in navigating billing and understanding payment options, some mental health navigations and advice.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I was forced to navigate our health care system alone and in many different ways. This left me feeling confused, hurt, and lost, which no one deserves! My goal is to just help anyone navigate the maze of our system while offering a humanizing and understanding ear. No diagnoses is too big or too small to be taken completely seriously and given undivided attention. The average doctor spends only 7 minutes with each patient, which isn't enough to even understand a yearly physical much less more complicated and personal diagnoses. In my opinion, it is the Patient Advocate's job to fill the communication gap left by over worked physicians and to offer a strong voice to those who might not know their rights and options beyond what one doctor thinks. I was denied an important surgery by a doctor who simply refused to believe me, and had I not stood up for myself I might still be in pain today. I offer my services to eventually help each patient find their own voice and own ability to navigate.
