Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
Coming from corporate America and seeing how healthcare is so focused on productivity and production, I was burnt out and knew that I needed to use my nursing license for what I went to school for...... TO HELP PEOPLE! I wouldn't be a part of the hamster wheel any longer and knew that I needed to be boots on the ground and help support people through this tangled web of healthcare. Since I was a young child, I would help my grandfather with his insulin and in doing that I always told my parents I was going to be a nurse and be a cashier on the weekends. Through nursing school I worked at a grocery store and here I am doing what I love as a nurse.
My goal is to educate people on what they are going through and give them the courage to not take the first "diagnosis" without asking questions. You CAN challenge your providers, you do not HAVE to do what they want you to do. Ultimately this is YOUR life-- however, you should be educated on all options, and we can do that for you!
