Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
With more than eight years of experience in healthcare, I have had the privilege of supporting patients across a variety of care settings, including hospital care, home health, chronic care management, transitions of care, remote patient monitoring, and care coordination. Beginning my career as a Certified Nursing Assistant gave me a firsthand understanding of the challenges patients and families face as they navigate illness, recovery, and the healthcare system.
Throughout my career, I have seen how overwhelming it can be to manage multiple providers, understand medical information, coordinate appointments, and access the resources needed for quality care. Those experiences inspired me to become a healthcare advocate.
