How I Can Help
We provide medical guidance to patients and caregivers focusing on medication management and decision support. We assist them: 1) Take medication per physician instructions; 2) Understand what and why they’re taking medications; 3) Evaluate each medication to ensure there is a rational diagnosis or reason; 4) Assess for appropriate dosage, significant drug Interactions and allergy concerns. If any concerns are identified, with patient's consent, we will contact the patient's physician to report any concerns with recommendations to minimize drug related problems.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
Being a healthcare professional, family and friends routinely approached me with medical concerns ranging from questions about medications to advanced care planning. Just as we routinely utilized language interpreters, I found myself in the role of medical interpreter with the goal of assisting patients/caregivers understand the information and how it impacted them. In the end, they are able to make an informed decision that aligned with their culture and values.
