Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I have dreamed of being a doctor since the age of 5. My deep-rooted desire to help and heal people, combined with perseverance, hard work and sacrifice made this a reality in 2005. However, it now pains me to witness the growing gaps in healthcare and countless frustrating barriers patients and loved ones face just to talk with their doctors, schedule timely appointments or truly understand their health and treatment plans. Medicine must do better! Knowing our guidance simplifies and improves our loved ones' medical journeys inspired Dr. Melissa Drake, Dr. Kristen Maguire and myself to create Doctor Daughters. A lifetime of family illnesses and traumas has prepared me well for this role, giving me valuable perspectives from both sides of the stethoscope. I find great joy in teaching people so they achieve a deeper understanding and gain more control of their health. I am honored to support people and share burdens during some of the scariest times of their lives, knowing our services provide clarity, strength and peace of mind. This is meant to be my life's work.
Oh- and what about our name, "Doctor Daughters?" Well, my mother-in-law's amazing oncologist unknowingly inspired our name while I was helping her navigate a new cancer diagnosis, delivering the same services we provide our clients today. The doctor turned to me and said, "Everyone should have a doctor daughter like you!" Well, Dr. Moore, you are right and now with Doctor Daughters, everyone can. JOIN THE FAMILY TODAY!
