Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
In practicing medicine, I realized how difficult it is for a patient and the family to cope with a serious diagnosis or disease.
There is a lot of information that passes in an important medical appointment and patients typically remember only a small amount of that information.
When critical decisions must be made, it can be confusing and confounding to sort through the options - and it's very important to be able to decide what the best option is for this particular patient. The patient's life choices must influence those choices. The risks and benefits of a given choice can be overwhelming to sort out.
My goal is to help patients understand their condition, know their options, and help guide them to a decision that is best for them.
