As someone who personally struggled with uterine fibroids, I faced difficult decisions about treatment, including pressure toward a hysterectomy. At the time, I was a graduate student without a job or insurance, and my condition landed me in the emergency room with a large medical bill I couldn’t afford. It was only through persistence and knowledge of the system that I navigated financial assistance programs and found alternative treatment options—experiences I now use to help other women advocate for their reproductive health.

I’ve also walked the heartbreaking road of supporting a loved one in decline. My father’s battle with dementia and sundowning symptoms was emotionally and physically draining. Watching his health rapidly decline and helping manage his transition to hospice care taught me how isolating and frightening that process can be for families. I’m here to be the support I wish we had—someone who can guide, explain, and stand beside you during those difficult moments.
