Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I understand how overwhelming and confusing the healthcare system can be, because I’ve lived it. As someone who personally struggled with uterine fibroids, I faced difficult decisions about treatment, including pressure toward a hysterectomy. At the time, I was a graduate student without a job or insurance, and my condition landed me in the emergency room with a large medical bill I couldn’t afford. It was only through persistence and knowledge of the system that I navigated financial assistance programs and found alternative treatment options—experiences I now use to help other women advocate for their reproductive health.

I’ve also walked the heartbreaking road of supporting a loved one in decline. My father’s battle with dementia and sundowning symptoms was emotionally and physically draining. Watching his health rapidly decline and helping manage his transition to hospice care taught me how isolating and frightening that process can be for families. I’m here to be the support I wish we had—someone who can guide, explain, and stand beside you during those difficult moments.

Professionally, I bring over a decade of experience as both a clinician and healthcare administrator. I’ve worked across healthcare education, community health, and clinical care, helping patients understand their rights, navigate treatment decisions, and access critical resources. Whether you’re seeking women’s health support, help coordinating physical or speech therapy after a hospital stay, or just trying to make sense of a complex diagnosis or financial barrier, I’m here to help you find clarity and peace of mind.
