Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I became a patient advocate after the heartbreaking loss of my 32-year-old brother, whose life was cut short due to a lack of proper care and the absence of someone to speak up on his behalf. This was devastating for my entire family and opened my eyes to the urgent need for patient-centered support. Since then, I have devoted my life to assisting patients and their families & caregivers to prevent others from experiencing the same pain. By helping patients understand their rights and options, and by facilitating clear, compassionate communication between patients and healthcare providers, I empower individuals to make informed decisions about their care. Navigating the healthcare system is complicated—even for those of us within the field—which is why my unwavering commitment is to educate, guide, and advocate for patients so they can achieve the best possible outcomes.
