How I Can Help
I help patients and their families navigate the high-stakes complexities of the healthcare system, specializing in cases involving ophthalmology (eye care), clinical trial navigation, and medical device selection.

With over two decades of experience in the medical device industry—including 15 years in eye care and leadership roles in major ophthalmic launches—I provide a technical level of scrutiny that goes beyond standard advocacy. I help clients understand their options when the choice of technology directly impacts their long-term quality of life.

Specific ways I support my clients:

Precision Lens & Implant Selection: Assisting patients in evaluating intraocular lenses (IOLs) and other surgical implants where the patient has a choice in technology and outcomes.

Conflict of Interest Auditing: Researching specialists to identify professional ties to device manufacturers or pharmaceutical companies, ensuring you receive unbiased recommendations.

Clinical Trial Identification: Vetting and identifying appropriate clinical trials by condition and/or geographical region.

Active Appointment Advocacy: Accompanying clients to local appointments in the Tucson/Oro Valley area or via telehealth for national clients to ensure key questions are answered.

Post-Acute Care and Facility Navigation: Leveraging my experience as a Volunteer Long-Term Care Ombudsman, I assist families in vetting and selecting rehabilitation or skilled nursing facilities. I go beyond the marketing to evaluate facility records, quality of care history, and resident rights to ensure your loved ones are in a safe, high-standard environment.

My goal is to provide the engineering-grade due diligence necessary to empower you to make informed decisions, ensuring your healthcare journey is managed with clinical precision and reduced stress.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My journey to becoming an Independent Patient Advocate is deeply personal, forged in the complexities of my own family’s health crises, including navigating rare cancer treatment for my mother and years of long-term care and rehabilitation for my father. These experiences, combined with my professional training and volunteer work as a long-term care ombudsman, exposed the critical need for a knowledgeable and compassionate guide in the healthcare maze. I founded this practice to be that trusted resource, committed to offering clarity, support, and expert guidance so families don’t have to face overwhelming choices alone.

Innovative Pathway Mapping: Researching "off-label" or cutting-edge treatment options when standard-of-care protocols have been exhausted.

2. Ophthalmic & Specialized Surgical Advocacy
IOL Selection Architecture: Expert guidance through the intricacies of Intraocular Lens (IOL) choices (multifocal, toric, EDOF), ensuring patients understand the technical trade-offs in cataract surgery.
