How I Can Help
I want to help you navigate life during and after becoming disabled/chronically ill. Whether that's helping you find the right specialist on the first try, building a medical binder, drafting letters for your care team, finding resources to help you live your best life, or just being a shoulder to lean on, I'm here for it all!

♡ Need help wading through the mountain of medical paperwork you have? I'll help you not only understand any confusing paperwork, but organize it and other important info into a cohesive medical binder to present to your care team so they can understand your unique needs.

♡ Feel like you never know what to say or ask during an appointment? I'll help you come up with scripts on what to say, lists of questions to ask, and ways to speak up and get the care you deserve if you aren't feeling heard.

♡ Need help finding resources to live your best life? Whether that's finding programs and accommodations to help you get back to school/work, grant programs to fund a mobility aid, local organizations to assist with housechores, or assistive devices to help you be more independent, I bet I can find a resource to help. And, if necessary, I'll help you fill out any forms or applications!

♡ Tired of waiting for a specialist for months, only to discover they're not a good fit? I'll do the intensive research of finding good providers that match your needs!

♡ Need a letter from your doctor but they're too busy to listen or fill it out? I'll help you draft letters for accommodations, service dogs/emotional support animals, etc. and your provider just has to sign it!

♡ Find appointments and procedures overwhelming and scary? Besides being a listening ear, I want to help you create routines and self care rituals to make appointments/procedures a little less daunting.

My Survivor Support Advocacy Qualifications
I am a survivor of Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Innapropriate Sinus Tachycardia, Craniocervical-Instability, Narcolepsy type 1, Small fiber Neuropathy, Interstitial Lung Disease, Scoliosis, Autism, PTSD
I have been trained and/or certified as a peer mentor.
I'm a NASPA certified peer educator and have five years of professional peer education experience.
Along with my own personal experience, I graduated college with a B.A in Sociology with a focus in disability studies. I previously worked as a sex educator with Planned Parenthood. I'm a disability advocate who has created disability-focused social media content, advocated for changes to disability policy on both a local and national level, and worked with icons such as Judy Heumann.

I've also helped dozens of people close to me understand their diagnoses, advocate for themselves during medical appointments, and find resources to help them live a life they love.
Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
In 2018 I became seriously ill. I was eighteen and a freshman in college. I was forced to drop out of college, quit working, quit driving, move home with my parents, and lost many of my friends. As I watched my peers attend classes and tailgates, I was attending yet another appointment where I was deemed a medical mystery. Between that and feeling betrayed by my body, I thought my life was over. Add in a constant barrage of medical gaslighting, uncaring providers, multiple misdiagnoses, a few near-death experiences because of doctor negligence and disbelief and, let's just say, I developed medical PTSD.

In 2022 I was finally diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and a form of dysautonomia called Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia. In the following years I've also been diagnosed with a slew of other conditions such as: Narcolepsy w/Cataplexy, Histamine Intolerance, Craniocervical-Instability, Small Fiber Neuropathy, Interstitial Lung Disease and PTSD. I'm also a self-diagnosed autistic.

Yes, that list is practically a CVS receipt. But that's all to say that I get it. I've been in your shoes. I understand the fear, anger, confusion, grief, isolation, and overwhelm that comes with navigating the endless medical appointments while dealing with chronic illness/disability. I mean, I'm a queer, non-binary, Gen Z, Latina with pink hair. I'm a wheelchair user and a former service dog handler. I've had to become an incredibly educated force of nature in order to survive.

I've not only survived, but I've thrived. And, I want to help you do the same by offering guidance, taking a load off your shoulders, and ensuring YOU feel in control of your healthcare again.
