How I Can Help
We work with people with dementia and their families.

Clear Guidance provides a deep bench of highly educated and trained experts. The Clear Guidance Team has special expertise and focus on working with families that are facing issues around cognitive impairment, dementia and mental health diagnoses.

After receiving a diagnosis or evaluation, many families feel lost about how to proceed and what to expect. That is where our direction can help. We meet the families we work with where they are in the journey. Our team can come in at the beginning of the process or as a point-in-time consultant, no matter how complex the diagnosis.

Many Care Management solutions use a templated approach. We believe it’s far more impactful to solve immediate issues to ease the pain a family is experiencing. Then we can move on to solutions to broader issues and future hurdles.

Outside the box solutions are our specialty. When we work with a family, we look at the big picture so we are able to incorporate resources and therapies and give caregivers tools to manage difficult behaviors or symptoms.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
The inspiration for what I do comes from watching my grandfather care for my grandmother had young onset dementia. Of course, this was the 1980's so there were many fewer resources then than there are now. However, some of the same themes still apply. My grandparents became isolated from family and friends, hired an untrained housekeeper as their home health aide who took advantage of them. Refusing to send my grandmother to a nursing home, my grandfather carried her from room to room as their house would not accommodate a wheelchair. As a result, my grandfather pre-deceased my grandmother, in large part due to the stress of caregiving. Watching this as a teenager and young adult, I knew there had to be a better way and I wanted to be part of creating it.
