How I Can Help
I specialize in guiding patients and families through the most complex, overwhelming, and high-stakes medical journeys — especially those involving oncology, multi-system complications, diagnostic confusion, and fragmented care across multiple hospitals.
I bring structure, clarity, safety oversight, and assertive advocacy into situations where families feel lost or unheard within the healthcare system.
~ Appointment & Hospital Support:
• Attend physician appointments (in-person or virtual)
• Prepare questions, timelines, symptom summaries, and decision-support tools
• Advocate during hospitalizations to ensure safety, continuity, and timely intervention
• Escalate concerns when delays, errors, or miscommunication threaten patient outcomes
~ Advanced Care Coordination Across Multiple Hospitals
• Coordinate care involving oncology, urology, GI, infectious disease, IR, radiology, and surgery
• Track appointments, authorizations, tests, and procedural timelines
• Communicate across departments and health systems to unify fragmented care
• Facilitate second opinions and subspecialty referrals
~ Diagnosis, Imaging, and Treatment Clarity
• Translate medical terminology into clear, understandable language
• Explain radiology findings (CT, MRI, PET), pathology, staging, and treatment sequencing
• Build personalized medical files/binders for patients and caregivers
• Prepare focused summaries for specialist consultations
~ Medication Safety & List Management
• Maintain accurate medication lists across all hospital admissions
• Identify contraindications, duplications, and concerning medication changes
• Track side effects, adverse patterns, and symptom trends
• Advocate for medication reconciliation at every point of care
~ Patient Safety & Rights Advocacy
• Detect breakdowns in care coordination or documentation
• Address delays, miscommunication, and unsafe care pathways
• Ensure transparency, informed consent, and accurate medical records
• Advocate directly with departments, hospital leadership, and clinical teams

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
One of the most significant accomplishments of my advocacy work was coordinating a successful solution for an oncology case that major cancer centers deemed untreatable.
After multiple oncologists at MD Anderson concluded that nothing could be done for a life-altering bladder fistula causing repeated infections, kidney damage, and severe decline in quality of life, I refused to accept that as the final answer.
Through persistent research and coordination across 30+ specialists, I identified a novel, non-standard option:
a fully covered self-expanding metallic stent (SEMS) placed via advanced endoscopic technique — a procedure not previously performed for this condition within the US.
I located and engaged an elite interventional endoscopy team at Baylor St. Luke’s, presented the full clinical case, timeline, imaging narrative, and risk–benefit rationale, and secured acceptance for the procedure.
Outcome:
• The procedure was a complete success.
• The fistula closed.
• All bladder symptoms resolved.
• Recurrent infections stopped.
• Kidney function normalized.
• Quality of life was fully restored — after months of suffering.
This case demonstrates my ability to:
• Identify life-saving solutions beyond standard pathways.
• Challenge clinical assumptions and escalate safely
• Coordinate across large health systems
• Achieve positive outcomes where patients had been told “nothing more can be done”
