How I Can Help
Navigating the healthcare system after you’ve received a new confusing, or complex diagnosis can leave everyone feeling some mix of fear, confusion, and “what comes next”.
As an MD and board-certified patient advocate, I am here to make healthcare less overwhelming and more manageable for you, whether you have a new, chronic, or complex diagnosis or you are helping a friend or family member who does.
This can look like:
• Clinical navigation: Helping you understand your diagnosis, researching treatment options, finding the right specialists, and exploring clinical trials when appropriate
• Communication and coordination: Attending appointments with you, ensuring all your providers are aligned, and translating medical jargon into clear language
• Second opinions and clarity: Getting you the additional perspectives you need to feel confident in your care decisions
• Billing and insurance advocacy: Organizing, reviewing, and appealing bill an claims so financial stress doesn't compound medical stress
• Caregiver Support: Coordinating your loved one's care, managing appointments and communicating with their medical team, handling insurance and billing—giving you back peace and mind and time to focus on what matters most to you
With a background in medicine and years as a healthcare consultant, medical writer, and financial communicator, I have learned how to listen carefully, dig for the information that really matters, solve problems creatively, and explain complicated things in ways that make sense.
I am committed to giving you the tools and strategies to make informed decisions, feel confident about your care, and learn how to become your own best advocate.
At the end of the day, my goal is to support you in what matters most to you and help you:
• Be heard
• Be supported
• Be informed
• Be confident, and
• Be empowered

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
One of my most influential experiences with advocacy began when one of my children was born. They were full-term, but several hours after birth they developed breathing difficulties, landing us in the neonatal intensive care unit for evaluation and treatment. While everything turned out well, I remember feeling helpless—as if healthcare was happening to them rather than with them and me. As an MD, I was fortunate to know which questions to ask and understand the responses, but this experience showed me what an advantage and privilege that knowledge was.
This opened my eyes to how overwhelming healthcare can be for families without medical training. Over the years, I have become the person family and friends call when healthcare becomes confusing or overwhelming. I have discovered how much I love helping people through those challenging times—not only understanding and finding the care they needed, but also helping them feel better about the process. I am honored every time someone trusts me to help navigate their healthcare journey and I bring the same care and determination to each client as I do for my family and friends.
