Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
After 18 years as a physician assistant, I’ve seen how overwhelming and broken the healthcare system can feel. Too often, patients are rushed, unheard, and left to navigate complex decisions alone.

Witnessing medical mistakes, poor communication, and preventable outcomes shaped my belief that better care starts with listening, slowing down, and truly caring. I’ve always asked myself, “Is this how I would want my parents treated?”—and that question has guided every patient interaction.

Long before I named it, I was advocating: helping families navigate insurance, understand medical decisions, and feel supported every step of the way.

That’s why I created Healthcare Journey Advocates—to provide clarity, compassion, and peace of mind. Because no one should face the healthcare system alone, and everyone deserves care delivered with heart.
