How I Can Help
I have years of experience in healthcare administration and healthcare compliance law. I work with patients, clinicians, administrators, and insurance firms. My forte is relationship management. I navigate the never ending challenges healthcare systems bring to the table.

My broad experience and education has touched the surfaces of bioethics, clinical trials, IVF, pharmaceuticals, medical genetic disorders, specialty surgery, organ transplants, geriatrics, end of life, DNR, POA, healthcare proxy, childhood diseases, cancer, specialty medicines and more. My end goal is to work efficiently with integrity and grace, advocating for the patient.

In addition, the following services I offer:
Clarifying options to patients on their choice for hospitals, doctors and treatments
Getting information for patients and asking specific questions
Carrying out patient requests
Writing down information and answers to questions for patients
Accompanying patients to tests, procedures and appointments
Keeping track of medications
Solving conflicts and crisis situations with health care professionals and family members
Making sure patients’ rights are met

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My first health care advocacy experience was over 15 years ago when I facilitated a bone marrow transplant at Duke University for a seven year old patient. The patient's mother was having challenges navigating the patient's care, with specialty doctors and health insurance challenges.
It was discovered after swift research and testing that the patient's brother was an identical match. The patient was treated and her disease remains at bay.
