Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
With over 25 years as a registered nurse, I advocated for patients—but a near-fatal communication breakdown involving my elder sister showed me how complex healthcare can be when navigated alone by a caregiver. I supported my adult niece through three-and-a-half years of long-distance care until my sister's passing. Motivated to help others, I launched a private advocacy practice. Though the final outcome was beyond our control/unchangeable, the satisfaction of supporting my family was profound, and I have no regrets. My approach: Professional, compassionate, comprehensive, patient-centered and caregiver support. Services include education, guidance, advocacy, prevention, and care management.
