How I Can Help
As a Board Certified Independent Patient Advocate, I assist adult patients and their families navigate their inpatient hospitalization (acute hospital, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing facility) and plan their discharge. I visit the bedside, complete daily medical chart reviews, explain medical terminology in plain language, and communicate directly with your medical team to ensure everyone is on the same page. From navigating the transition to a rehabilitation facility or preparing for home care services, I provide the guidance you need to make informed decisions every step of the way. My goal is to support you in optimizing your healthcare journey, so you can focus on what matters most – your well-being.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My career began as a Medical Speech Language Pathologist, where I had the privilege of working in renowned hospitals like Stanford University Hospital and New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. I worked across a variety of settings, including emergency departments, intensive care units, and outpatient clinics, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of swallowing and speech/language disorders in neurogenic, cardio-thoracic, and aging populations, to name some.
During my years in clinical practice, I saw firsthand the overwhelming challenges that patients and their families face when making critical health decisions, often with limited time and understanding. Even in the most compassionate healthcare environments, providers are stretched thin by productivity demands and responsibilities beyond patient care, leaving families to navigate complex situations with limited resources and knowledge. As a patient and a mother myself, too many times I’ve personally felt that need for guidance facing the medical system.
These experiences sparked a deep desire to make a broader impact. I knew I wanted to help patients by empowering them to take control of their healthcare decisions. That is why I transitioned into patient advocacy, where my sole focus is on guiding patients and families through making informed, confident choices. As an advocate, I am fully dedicated to my clients, providing the support they need during this pivotal time of their lives.
