Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
On a beautiful late spring afternoon one year ago, two women started taking care of their mothers. They were very much alike, these two middle-aged women. Both had been in excellent careers, both were personable and both—as older women were retiring soon with their husbands--were filled with ambitious dreams for their future. Recently, these women met through some mutual friends. They were very much alike. Both were happily married. Both had three grown children. And both, it turned out, had taken over the care of their demanding, aging mothers. Both mothers had the same ailments, were the same age, and both had come to live closer to their only daughter. But there was a difference. One of the women was traveling with her husband, enjoying her retirement, and seeing her grown children and grandchildren in her leisure. The other was depressed and feeling trapped. Overwhelmed with her mother, she found caregiving suffocating. What made the difference Have you ever wondered, as I have, what makes this kind of difference in people’s lives? It isn't a native intelligence or talent or dedication. It isn't that one person wants success and the other doesn't. The difference lies in what each person knows and how he or she makes use of that knowledge. And that is why I am writing to you and to people like you about Caregiver Haven™. For that is the whole purpose of this Community: to give its readers knowledge -- knowledge that they can use in caregiving. A publication unlike any other You see, the Caregiver Haven™ Community is a unique class. It's the country’s only national caregiver daily. Each day, it is put together by the workforce of caregiver professional experts. Each day, the Caregiver Haven™ Community’s emails include a broad range of information of interest and significance to optimistic–minded people, no matter where it comes from. Not just “how-to” and trends, but anything and everything in the whole, stress-moving world of caregiving. ..The Caregiver Haven™ Knowledge is power Right now, I am looking at emails of the Haven™, the best-read emails in America. They combine all the important strategies of the caregiver’s day with in-depth feature inform-ing. Every phase of caregiving hope is covered. The Haven™ is also the single best source for news and indicators about your caregiving journey. In the Best Practices™ section there are helpful charts, easy–to–download worksheets, plus "Boundaries™", "Bounce™" and "Your Financial Mistakes™", three of America’s most influential and carefully read caregiver emails. If you have never peeked into The Caregiver Haven™, you cannot imagine how useful it can be to you.
About those two women I mentioned at the beginning of this letter: they were both caregivers with similar difficult demanding mothers to take care of. Both started out together in the caregiving world with no experience. So what made their lives in caregiving so different? Knowledge. Useful information. And its application. I cannot promise you that success will be instantly yours if you start join the Caregiver Haven™ Community. But I can guarantee that you will find The Haven™ always interesting, always reliable, and always useful. Your application of its three B’s: Best Practices, Boundaries™, and Bounce™ will make the difference. Sincerely Suzanne
