How I Can Help
My goal as an advocate is to empower patients and their families so that they can make the most informed decisions about their health care. My services are tailored to the individual and his/her situation and can include sorting through important information about health conditions, helping to find specialized providers, exploring treatment options that are available, helping patients and their families prepare for appointments and coordinating care between providers. I specialize in newly diagnosed patients but am also available for guidance at any point along the way.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I initially became interested in Healthcare Advocacy 18 years ago when a friends daughter nearly died from a serious virus. I advocated for getting her transferred to another hospital in the middle of the night and we were told she survived because of it. Many years later, I lost a friend because she was misdiagnosed because she didn't fit the profile of a particular illness. It is because of these experiences and others that I understand the importance of empowering patients and their families so that they can obtain the best care possible. Sometimes it requires thinking outside the box and sometimes it means asking the right questions. Having an advocate to listen, to support, and to be on your side, advocating for you, can make a huge difference.
