How I Can Help
Vanessa Lee, CTSS, BCPA, CPPN, ASIST, CPhT
As a dedicated Board-Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA), Certified Trauma Support Specialist (CTSS), and Certified Professional Patient Navigator (CPPN), I provide critical support for individuals and families navigating the complexities of healthcare.
My expertise lies in advocating for those who are unable to speak for themselves, guiding them through medical uncertainty, and ensuring informed decision-making in high-stakes situations.
With direct mentorship under Dr. Harold P. Freeman, I bring extensive experience in Oncology, Neurology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, and other complex disease states, working from multiple vantage points across healthcare systems.
I assist with access to care, insurance navigation, financial resources, and medical decision support, ensuring patients receive the services they need without undue burden.
I provide emotional support and guidance during life’s most vulnerable moments, helping individuals and families make sense of overwhelming medical processes.
Passionate about fair treatment and patient rights, I serve as a direct resource for those who have been unfairly treated, advocating for equity in healthcare and ensuring that every patient receives the dignity, respect, and care they deserve.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
Vanessa Lee, CTSS, BCPA, CPPN, ASIST, CPhT
My journey into patient advocacy was shaped by firsthand experiences witnessing the gaps, inequities, and systemic challenges within healthcare.
Working across Oncology, Neurology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, and other complex disease states, I saw how overwhelming and disorienting the medical system can be especially for those facing life altering diagnoses without a voice, resources, or guidance.
As someone who is legally visually impaired, I understand firsthand the limitations, lack of thorough explanations, and the critical need for clear, concise communication in healthcare.Accessibility is not just a consideration it is a necessity.
My personal experiences have fueled my commitment to ensuring that all patients, regardless of ability, receive the information, advocacy, and support they need to make informed decisions.
Under the direct mentorship of Dr. Harold P. Freeman, a pioneer in patient navigation, I learned that true advocacy is not just about navigating healthcare logistics but about ensuring dignity, fairness, and access to care for all.
Despite my personal disability, I have dedicated my life to changing the narrative of my own experiences turning obstacles into opportunities to improve patient care, advocate for fair treatment, and provide dedicated time, clear guidance, and unwavering support to those navigating complex medical decisions.
With over 15 years as a healthcare professional, I have established strong relationships across all levels of healthcare and legal professionals, ensuring that my clients have access to the resources, expertise, and advocacy they deserve. Whether supporting individuals through high-stakes medical decisions, connecting them with essential financial and legal services, or championing accessibility in patient care, my mission is to ensure that no one is left unheard, overlooked, or without the support they need.
