How I Can Help
I am a Pancreatic Patient Advocate, and my specialty is the medical binder: one organized, chronological record of every hospital, lab, scan, and medication, with a two-page summary on top that you can hand to any new specialist.
I work with people facing cancer, specifically pancreatic cancer, Whipple surgery, and long-term pancreatic and digestive illness, and with the families trying to manage that care, often from a distance. I handle the paperwork, records, and logistics between appointments so the patient can focus on getting better.
Services I provide:
- Medical binders and records consolidation: Most patients have their records scattered across several hospitals, portals, and labs. I gather everything (chart notes, pathology, labs, imaging, medications) from Stanford Cancer Center, University of California San Francisco, Sutter Health, and outside labs into one organized, chronological binder with a two-page summary on top. When you see a new specialist, you hand them the summary instead of trying to recall years of history in a short appointment.
- Appointment preparation and accompaniment: I prepare a focused list of questions before major consultations, attend appointments in person or virtually as your note-taker and second set of ears, and write a clear summary afterward.
- Family briefing memos: After each appointment, I send out-of-town or working family members a plain-language update so everyone knows where things stand.
- Chemotherapy and treatment logistics: Scheduling, medication supply, and keeping treatment on track.
- Insurance and pharmacy: Prior authorizations and renewals, tier exception appeals, specialty pharmacy ordering, and fighting denials.
- Billing disputes: Reviewing bills and statements and challenging errors.
- Care coordination: Medical transportation, in-home care coordination, and helping families set up and use MyChart.

My Survivor Support Advocacy Qualifications
I am a survivor of Whipple procedure survivor with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI)
I survived a Whipple procedure and have lived with its aftermath for more than 15 years: exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, enzyme replacement therapy, specialty drug supply problems, insurance fights, and records scattered across multiple hospitals. I know from experience what long-term recovery really involves, and I help survivors and their families carry the paperwork and coordination so they can focus on getting well.
Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I survived a Whipple procedure, one of the most complex surgeries in medicine, and have lived with its aftermath for more than 15 years: exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, enzyme replacement therapy, specialty drug supply problems, insurance fights, and records scattered across multiple hospitals. Nobody coordinated any of it for me. I learned to do it myself, and then I did it for my own father.
I became an advocate because I know exactly what it feels like to be handed a serious diagnosis, a stack of patient portals, and no one to help make sense of it. I understand the medical side and the exhausting paperwork side, because I have lived both. I can be the person for you that I needed back then.
