How I Can Help
Hi, I’m Andre, a former emergency and family physician now working as an independent healthcare advocate and coach. When medical care feels urgent or overwhelming, contact me. I’ll help you understand what’s happening, ask the right questions, and stay organized through the next steps. With me as your healthcare advocate, you’re not alone.
• Clinically fluent advocacy: Translate the medical talk. Get your questions answered.
• ED + hospitalization support: Track the plan. Decide with clarity. May attend in person when feasible.
• Doctor visit prep (specialist/surgeon): Build the questions that change decisions.
• Join key conversations + summary: Consults, family meetings, surgery talks, discharge planning. Then a clear written summary.
• Catch gaps + red flags: Spot what’s missing or doesn’t add up.
• Treatment + specialist decisions: Compare options. Choose the right surgeon/specialist. Second opinions support.
• Discharge + rehab decisions: Home vs rehab facilities. Choose the best fit.
• Family proxy support (with permission): Keep loved ones informed and aligned. I can be your point person if you’re on your own.
I’m not acting as your physician, and I don’t diagnose or prescribe. I work alongside your doctors and nurses to support clear communication and coordination.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I moved back to Orange County to care for my father in his later years. He had complex needs and a calendar full of appointments, specialists, tests, and follow-ups that never seemed to end. Even with my medical background, I felt the stress and confusion of trying to keep track of everything while worried and exhausted. I also saw how easily details get lost between visits, and how small system mistakes and miscommunications can turn into real harm when no one person has the full picture. Around that same time, my child needed NICU care, and I felt firsthand what it’s like when decisions are urgent and the information never stops.
Before advocacy, I worked where healthcare moves fast: emergency departments and family practice in New Zealand and Australia. Those years taught me that the most important moments aren’t just diagnoses and procedures. They’re trust, listening for what people can’t quite say, and speaking up when patients feel unheard.
I became a healthcare advocate so patients and families don’t have to navigate complex care alone. I help people slow things down, understand options, stay organized, and make decisions that fit their real lives. With a healthcare advocate, you’re not alone.
