How I Can Help
I assist patients, families, caregivers, and care partners who are navigating healthcare, behavioral health, recovery-related, disability, aging-related, and community resource challenges. Many individuals and families find themselves trying to coordinate multiple providers, understand insurance coverage, access services, locate resources, or determine what steps to take next. I provide guidance, advocacy, care coordination, and support throughout that process.
My areas of assistance include healthcare navigation, patient advocacy, care coordination, Medicare and Medicaid navigation, insurance-related concerns, provider and appointment coordination, transportation resources, housing resources, home health services, durable medical equipment (DME), mobility equipment, disability resources, caregiver support, behavioral health services, recovery support services, and social service navigation.
My experience includes working with individuals and families facing chronic medical conditions, complex healthcare needs, disabilities, behavioral health concerns, recovery-related needs, aging-related challenges, care transitions, barriers to care, insurance issues, and difficulties accessing services and resources. I assist with identifying available options, locating providers, understanding treatment recommendations, communicating with healthcare teams, coordinating services, connecting individuals to community resources, and navigating healthcare, insurance, and social service systems.

I have also supervised clinical staff and provided training, coaching, and professional support to members of interdisciplinary care teams.
My background includes healthcare advocacy, behavioral health services, substance use treatment, care coordination, and clinical supervision. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and families facing medical, behavioral health, recovery, disability, and aging-related challenges. These experiences have given me a broad understanding of healthcare systems, community resources, and the obstacles people often encounter while navigating care and support services.
Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My path to patient advocacy was shaped by both professional and personal experiences navigating complex systems and helping others do the same. Throughout my career, I have worked in healthcare, behavioral health, care coordination, and community-based services, supporting individuals and families facing medical, behavioral health, recovery, disability, aging-related, and life-transition challenges.
Over the years, I have seen how difficult it can be to navigate healthcare, insurance, social service, and community resource systems, especially during times of illness, crisis, uncertainty, or major change. I have also witnessed the impact that information, support, advocacy, and access to resources can have on an individual's ability to move forward.
These experiences led me to patient advocacy. They reinforced the importance of listening, understanding each person's unique circumstances, and helping individuals and families navigate barriers, identify options, and access the support and services available to them.
