How I Can Help
I provide non-clinical, survivor-led advocacy, navigation, and resource support during high-risk pregnancy, including placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), and postpartum recovery.

I help you organize your concerns, prepare for conversations with your care team, and work through practical next steps so you feel more prepared and supported.

Appointment Preparation and Follow-Through

Together, we organize your questions, concerns, and information before appointments. Across visits, I help you track what was answered, what remains unresolved, and what you want to bring back to your providers. When your care plan changes, we prepare questions so you can ask your medical team about their recommendations and what comes next.

Communication and Preferences

I help you put your needs, wishes, and boundaries into words to share with your care team. Your chosen support person can join our preparation so they understand what you want them to communicate. I can also help you locate information about patient rights and your hospital’s process for raising concerns or requesting support.

Practical Pregnancy and Postpartum Planning

We create practical checklists for hospital preparation, family support, and the transition home, guided by your medical team’s recommendations. After delivery, I help you organize follow-up appointments, prepare questions about discharge instructions, and keep track of concerns to discuss with your providers.

Accessing Practical Support

I help you identify practical support needs during pregnancy and after delivery, research relevant services, and understand the steps to access them. Together, we work through questions about eligibility, cost, location, and availability so you know whom to contact and what to do next.

Services are virtual and non-clinical; I do not interpret medical findings, recommend treatment, or replace medical or mental health care.

My Survivor Support Advocacy Qualifications
I am a survivor of Placenta Accreta Spectrum, Preeclamisa
My path to advocacy began with my first and only pregnancy, conceived after my first round of IVF. What I expected to be the beginning of one chapter of my life became an experience that would ultimately change its direction.

I survived an undiagnosed case of placenta increta, a form of placenta accreta spectrum (PAS). It was discovered at delivery and resulted in an emergency partial hysterectomy. I went into that experience focused on becoming a mother and came out of it not only a new mom, but a survivor of a serious maternal health complication I had known very little about.

I was fortunate to receive the medical care I needed during that emergency. My path to advocacy did not begin because I felt my care had failed me. It grew from understanding firsthand how complex pregnancy, birth, and recovery can be, and how valuable information, connection, and support are during those experiences.

My background includes hospital-based healthcare experience, Guardian ad Litem training, previous crisis counselor training, and participation in PAS peer support. Working in healthcare gave me one perspective; becoming a patient and survivor gave me another. These experiences led me to create After Accreta Co., where I help accreta survivors identify recovery support and connect with vetted professionals and resources.

My advocacy work also supports individuals during high-risk pregnancy and postpartum recovery. I want others to feel heard, informed, and supported as they ask questions, express their needs, and work with their care team.
Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My path to advocacy began with my first and only pregnancy, conceived after my first round of IVF. What I expected to be the beginning of one chapter of my life became an experience that would ultimately change its direction.

I survived an undiagnosed case of placenta increta, a form of placenta accreta spectrum (PAS). The diagnosis was discovered at delivery, which resulted in an emergency partial hysterectomy. I went into that experience focused on becoming a mother and came out of it not only a new mom, but a survivor of a serious maternal health complication I had known very little about.

I was fortunate to receive the medical care I needed during that emergency. My path to advocacy did not begin because I felt my care had failed me. It grew from understanding firsthand how complex the experience of PAS can be and recognizing how valuable information, connection, and support can be for survivors as they navigate what comes next.

My background in healthcare gave me one perspective, but becoming a patient and survivor gave me another. Over time, that experience drew me further into maternal health advocacy and ultimately led me to create After Accreta Co., where I focus specifically on helping PAS survivors navigate support and connect with resources and professionals who understand complex birth and recovery experiences.

Every PAS story and every recovery is different. I use both my lived experience and advocacy background to meet survivors where they are, listen to what they need, and help make navigating the support available to them a little less overwhelming.
