Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I was there for my husband when he was diagnosed with a pancreatic IPMN. I supported him though his every-three-month scans and biopsies for years. And I was there to make sure his care was on-point when he had to undergo a whipple for pancreatic cancer and subsequent chemotherapy. I have done the same for friends with bowel, prostate, and ovarian cancer, for family members with stomach cancer, and have advocated for my own life-long struggle with IBS, SIBO, and chronic pelvic pain syndrome (yes, men can suffer pelvic pain just as women can).

In 2024 I decided to take the steps to become certified to do this work for you. I studied at Cleveland State Nursing School and then passed the exam to become a board certified patient advocate. If you or your loved one is part of the LGBTQ+ community (or even if you're not), I can make sure your voice is heard and you are not alone when if comes to your healthcare.
