How I Can Help
I provide independent patient advocacy and healthcare navigation for older adults and families in Milwaukee and Southeast Wisconsin, in person or virtually.
Attend medical appointments with you — in person across Milwaukee and Southeast Wisconsin, or virtually anywhere — taking notes and asking the questions that get missed
HOSPITAL ADVOCACY: daily support during admissions, and discharge planning so the transition home doesn't fall through the cracks
TECHNOLOGY: Set up and teach MyChart and other patient portals, telehealth visits, and online scheduling — technology support built on my healthcare informatics career
Organize medical records and paperwork into one clear picture
Support family caregivers, including adult children coordinating a parent's care from out of state
Review and organize complex medication lists — as nursing faculty teaching pharmacology, I catch duplications, interactions, and unnecessary medications
Locate specialists, prepare you for consultations, and support second opinions
Coordinate care across multiple doctors, clinics, and health systems
Help you understand your insurance coverage and support appeals of denied claims and prior authorizations
Full advocacy services available in Spanish — se habla español

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I've been a registered nurse for more than 20 years. Along the way, I've trained thousands of healthcare professionals — nurses, physicians, and entire care teams — and spent part of my career in healthcare informatics, the world of electronic records and patient portals that now sits behind every visit. That career taught me two things. First, healthcare is genuinely hard to navigate — even the professionals need ongoing training to keep up, so families were never meant to figure it out alone. Second, the technology that was supposed to make care easier has become its own maze: another portal, another password, another message that never gets answered — and it's often hardest on the older adults who need care most. Families are asked to master both worlds at their most frightened, exhausted moments. I founded CarePath Advocate to stand on their side of both — translating the medical world into plain language, untangling the technology, and making sure their voice is heard in every decision. You shouldn't have to navigate healthcare, or the systems around it, alone.
