Coastal Healthcare Advocates is based in Virginia Beach, home to the largest naval base in the world, and I have a particular focus on serving the veteran and military community in Hampton Roads. I’ve seen how often veterans are left waiting months for advocacy help, only to have their accounts sent to collections — and even sued — over bills they didn’t fully understand or may not have even owed. By the time they reach out, they’ve often already paid money they shouldn’t have, simply because no one explained their options in time. I work to get involved early, before a bill ever reaches that point.

I also have a strong commitment to serving elderly patients, who are too often treated as just another case number in an overburdened system. Many seniors face complex billing and insurance issues without family nearby to help them sort it out, and they deserve more than a rushed phone call. I treat every client — veteran, senior, or otherwise — the way I’d want my own family member treated: with patience, respect, and someone who will actually fight for them.
