Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
In my 20 years as an Emergency Room nurse, I saw firsthand how many patients lack adequate support and understanding when facing medical crises. Whether due to geographic distance, strained personal relationships, or simply not knowing how to navigate the complex healthcare system, these patients have no one to advocate for their best interests. As a Care Manager and Patient Advocate, I can fill that role by serving as an advocate, coordinator, and guiding hand for those in need. My goal is to ensure patients fully understand their conditions, receive coordinated quality care tailored to their unique needs, and have someone in their corner so they can focus on healing with the best possible quality of life.
