Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I am a fierce mama bear of an advocate with a Master's degree in communications. I lead with healthy communication practices and support adult learners and patients with self-care. I am a believer in Eastern and Western Medicine. With adequate support and the right medicine, we can look forward to each new day being better than the last.

A few years ago my knees locked up over a few short hours and I was not able to get immediate access to help or medicine. It got so bad that I could not walk to my bathroom and had an accident in my hallway. It took me weeks to get a proper diagnosis, therapy, and medicine. My knees improved, but then I got lower back and ankle pain. To sum up I was on medicine and in physical and medicinal therapy for almost three years. My mobility was so compromised that my general practitioner filled out paperwork for me to have permanent handicapped tags. I know what it's like to have chronic pain and to have no one to call and no way to get in therapy right away. I know what it takes to be a good advocate for you because I want you to have a better experience than I did.

I love to blend medical knowledge with advocacy and have fought for myself, my friends, and my family to ensure everyone in my life has a voice and access to quality healthcare without judgment.

Over the last 5 years of my life, I’ve had experience learning how to live better through bariatric surgery, breast cancer, hypertension, irritable bowel syndrome, rapid weight gain, depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Many of these maladies were difficult to diagnose which delayed my treatment and forced me to have to deal with multiple diagnoses at the same time.

I have been an educator (Pre-K, through college ) in Language Arts for most of my life, so I know how to explain difficult diagnoses in the simplest of terms.

I hope to work with you soon. Call if you need help. I'm here.
