Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
As a parent of a child with a rare disease I know the fear and uncertainty of what is in front of you. A life-changing diagnosis is overwhelming, and a private patient advocate can help you figure out what to do next, bringing you peace of mind and relief from uncertainty. If you too are a parent of a child who has Gaucher disease, Hunter Syndrome, Niemann-Pick, or any other rare disease, please contact me. As your advocate you can benefit from my personal experience and feel more confident you are prepared for encounters with your child’s medical team. Please reach out to see how you can start to feel better about choices, decisions, and a plan to move forward.

Additional Skills
I have a particular interest in helping patients and families overcome insurance-related barriers to care, including coverage disputes, prior authorization challenges, continuity-of-care issues, specialty pharmacy coordination, and access to medically necessary services. I enjoy identifying solutions when patients encounter obstacles within the healthcare system and helping them understand their options, rights, and next steps.

I have extensive firsthand experience helping patients and families navigate complex healthcare systems, insurance coverage challenges, specialty care coordination, and continuity-of-care issues.

My particular strength is identifying solutions when patients encounter barriers to coverage, treatment access, or services. I have experience working through insurance transitions, coverage disputes, prior authorization challenges, specialty pharmacy issues, home health services, and coordination among providers, health plans, and support organizations. I enjoy helping families understand their options, develop advocacy strategies, and navigate complicated systems that can often feel overwhelming.

As the parent of a child with a chronic medical condition, I understand both the practical and emotional challenges families face when managing ongoing healthcare needs. My approach combines persistence, organization, and creative problem-solving to help patients and caregivers access the care and services they need.

I am especially interested in helping individuals and families navigate insurance-related obstacles, healthcare administration issues, care coordination, and access-to-care challenges.
