How I Can Help
As a patient advocate, I provide independent, non-clinical support to individuals and caregivers who need help navigating dental care decisions, treatment discussions, and insurance matters. My role is to help reduce confusion, support informed decision-making, and assist patients and families in understanding their options before moving forward.
How I help:
• Review dental treatment plans for clarity and understanding
• Explain proposed procedures and terminology in plain language
• Help patients and caregivers prepare questions to ask dental providers before consenting to treatment
• Support patients who are seeking second opinions or additional information
• Review dental insurance benefits, explanations of benefits, and unpaid or denied claims
• Help identify whether required supporting documentation, such as X-rays or narratives, was requested or submitted
• Assist with organizing information and documentation for insurance follow-up or appeals
• Provide guidance for caregivers coordinating dental care for aging parents, memory care residents, or medically complex individuals
• Help organize records, timelines, and communication related to ongoing or unresolved dental care situations
• Serve as a neutral support resource so patients and families can make informed decisions without pressure
My services are educational and advocacy-based. I do not diagnose conditions, recommend treatment, or provide medical or dental advice. My focus is on helping patients and caregivers understand information, communicate effectively, and navigate the dental and insurance systems with confidence.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I came to patient advocacy after seeing how easily people lose their voice once they enter the dental system. When appointments move quickly, language becomes technical, and decisions feel urgent, many patients and caregivers stop speaking up not because they do not care, but because they do not know how.
I have seen individuals move forward with dental care they did not fully understand, and caregivers carry responsibility for decisions they were never given the tools to navigate. Over time, it became clear that people were not looking for someone to tell them what to do. They needed someone to help them slow the process down, understand what was being presented, and feel confident using their own voice again.
Patient advocacy allows me to stand beside people as they regain that voice and take an active role in their dental story, rather than feeling like things are simply happening to them.
