How I Can Help
I help patients and their loved ones navigate the healthcare system by providing support with medical appointments, specialist referrals, care coordination, and transitions between hospital, home, or long-term care. I ensure patients understand their diagnoses and treatment options, assist with questions for providers, and help manage complex care plans. I also advocate on behalf of elderly individuals and those without family support to ensure they receive appropriate and timely care.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
After more than 30 years in the Navy, first as an engineer, then as a physician, I saw firsthand how overwhelming the healthcare system can be, especially for older adults, veterans, and families trying to manage complex conditions. I became a patient advocate to bridge that gap. I use my medical background and personal experience to help others make sense of their care, ask the right questions, and get the support they need when it matters most.

Additional Skills
As a Navy veteran and board-certified physician who has performed hundreds of VA compensation and pension (C&P) exams, I have a deep understanding of the VA disability process. I specialize in helping veterans navigate their claims by identifying service-connected conditions, preparing for C&P exams, and translating medical terminology into clear, actionable steps. I also assist families during care transitions—such as from hospital to rehab or home—by coordinating appointments, monitoring ongoing health concerns, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. My unique combination of military, medical, and advocacy experience allows me to support patients and their loved ones with compassion and clarity.
