My Survivor Support Advocacy Qualifications
I am a survivor of Cervical Cancer Survivor, Breast Cancer Survivor, Flat Closure Advocate, Lymphedema
I'm a board-certified internal medicine physician with extensive experience diagnosing, treating, educating and advocating on behalf of my patients.
Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
As a board-certified internal medicine physician, functional medicine practitioner, health advocate, and award-winning author with over 28 years of experience in clinical practice. But more than that, I’m someone who’s been on both sides of the healthcare system—not just as a physician, but as a patient and a three-time cancer survivor.

Navigating breast and cervical cancer, along with the long-term effects of treatment like lymphedema, changed the way I show up for others. It gave me a deeper understanding of what it means to feel overwhelmed, unheard, or left without a clear plan.

That experience is what drives my passion as a health advocate, supporting individuals, especially women over 50, as they navigate complex medical decisions and reclaim control over their health.

My work bridges traditional and integrative medicine, combining evidence-based care with personalized strategies that reflect each client’s values, needs, and goals. Whether I’m working one-on-one, leading a workshop, or speaking on stage, my mission remains the same: to empower people to be informed and confident participants in their own care.
