Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
Having started as a volunteer in a physician's office in the United States back in 2009, I found out the complexity and difficulty of navigating the US healthcare when it comes to finding doctors, getting the appropriate care, sorting out insurance, finding a stable job, and securing one's financial future. I've worked in home health care, homes for special needs children and adults, Alzheimer's facility, board and care, corporate insurance and hospital settings. The many different care settings provided rich lived experiences related to patient care.
