Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
As both a physician and a patient, I have experienced how difficult it can be to make healthcare decisions when information is unclear or opinions conflict.
Twice in my own life, seeking additional medical opinions led to very different outcomes than the first diagnosis or treatment recommendation. Those experiences reinforced the importance of asking questions, understanding your options, and making informed decisions.
They also reminded me that most patients do not have a medical background to help them interpret complex information. My goal is to provide clear explanations, practical guidance, and support so patients and families can better understand their healthcare and make decisions with confidence.
