How I Can Help
Insightful Doc™ Consulting, LLC is the only independent patient advocacy practice bringing implementation science and an evidence-based practice (EBP) framework to the advocacy space, systematically closing the gap between what the evidence shows and what patients actually receive.
Led by a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH), Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) and Evidence-Based Practice scholar-practitioner with 20+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience, the firm partners with individuals, care teams, and industry to enhance shared decision-making and bridge the gap between research, the patient voice, and real-world practice.
EBP isn't just a methodology or framework for us. It's a commitment to ensuring that no one makes a critical health decision based on outdated, or misunderstood information.
For patients and caregivers, this means:
✅ Access to current, credible health information tailored to their unique situation
✅ Support in asking the right questions in plain language and understanding their options
✅ Confident, informed decision-making at every stage of their healthcare journey
For healthcare providers, this means:
✅ A trusted advocacy partner who communicates in the language of evidence
✅ Collaboration that strengthens — not disrupts — the patient-provider relationship
✅ Shared commitment to outcomes rooted in science and centered on the whole person
At Insightful Doc™ Consulting, we assist patients and their families in navigating medical diagnoses, both common and rare diseases and treatments, both commercially available and investigational, more effectively. Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
This work is not just professional for me. It is personal. As a child, my symptoms were dismissed. A misdiagnosis led to a life-threatening illness, emergency surgery, and parents being told to call family because the doctors did not expect me to make it. I made it, and I have spent many years reflecting on and learning why that moment happened and how it could have been prevented. Now I am making sure it happens to as few people as possible.
My motivation to become a professional patient advocate stems from a lifelong commitment to helping others enhance their health outcomes. Initially pursuing the medical school track during my undergraduate years, I eventually landed a corporate job in the biopharmaceutical industry where my experience spanned across Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Medical Affairs. I gained experience in Medical Affairs translating data into scientific communications aimed at informing key medical experts (medical doctors and scientific experts) in the field.
My experiences as an advocate for family members and recognizing the evidence-based need for patient advocates in healthcare, especially among vulnerable and underserved populations, inspired me to deepen my expertise and become board-certified in this field.
