Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I love science and medicine. The more I can roll up my sleeves and dive in, the better. Growing up I knew I would go into medicine. But when organic chemistry had its way with me, I stumbled backwards into Global Health / Science Communications and Advocacy, and have never looked back. I live for putting insurance companies and mail order pharmacies in the hot seat. And my goal is to provide solutions for your pain points.

I believe that everyone deserves access to the appropriate care for you. And to be health literate while navigating a system that is stacked against all of us, is not tenable for anyone. Also, 18 years ago I acquired a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. So I have seen health insurance and care up close and personal. I have done advocacy both personally and professionally for 30 years. Becoming a certified patient advocate felt like a natural progression and complement to my career.

My motto is: when people tell me "it" can't be done, I say watch me.
