-I can help with medication management
-I can be a communication liaison between you and your medical team
-I will help you find an assisted living community and/or a nursing home that is reputable and within your budget
-I will help you apply for funding assistance through our local Area on Aging
-I can assist with Medicaid applications and help with the Medicaid Waiver process
I provide Level of Care assessments I will provide my professional opinion on whether they are safe in their home, if additional care is needed, the cost of the care, and the options of living in a retirement community if home is no longer a safe option. This also involves Care Coordination with trusted community resources to bring in reputable home care agencies, therapists, equipment providers and legal counsel, if desired.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My love for geriatrics comes directly from my close relationship with my grandparents and parents. From a young age, I enjoyed being with them, hearing their stories, and feeling very loved and safe in their presence. After I graduated from Kent State University in 1992, I went on to receive my Social Work license in Ohio. My first professional job was in the nursing home setting and I quickly realized how much I loved helping the older population and their families. I went on to earn my Master's Degree from Northwest Louisiana University advancing my knowledge of psychology. Since then, my professional experience has focused on geriatrics, whether in a nursing home setting, non-medical home care setting, or care management. I have helped clients with important medical decisions, advocated for them during emergency room and hospital stays, and supported them in making end of life decisions. I have laughed with them, cried with them, and sat beside them as they were actively dying. I will always have a place in my heart for those who need extra support, or simply guidance to get through their aging journey.
