Why We Advocate – Mary Covington’s Story
Mary Covington founded FixMyClaim after witnessing firsthand how insurance companies deny valid claims and leave patients without the care they need. She started her career inside the insurance industry and became disillusioned by how often patients were unfairly left with the bill.
For over 35 years, she’s been on a mission to empower patients—fighting for their right to be reimbursed, to understand their coverage, and to stand up to a system that often works against them. Her passion for advocacy is rooted in a deep belief: patients deserve to be heard, respected, and reimbursed.
