Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My Mother experienced serious medical issues in 1988. I quickly realized that if no one advocated for her, she would fall between the cracks. I learned a great deal in the necessity of patient advocacy in the two years before she died.
My husband has a congenital heart defect and epilepsy so I have also advocated for him as well.
