Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My advocacy is deeply informed by my own experiences navigating complex chronic health conditions, including Long COVID and ME/CFS. From the very beginning of my illness, I threw myself into helping others manage sudden and overwhelming health challenges, even while navigating my own treatment while being mostly bed bound. Friends and peers quickly learned that I am the person to call when unexpected medical problems arose - I try to embody what I espouse - tenacious, reliable, and empathetic in finding solutions.

Drawing on my background as a software engineer at a healthcare company where I worked very closely with medical providers, I bring insight from both the provider’s perspective and the patient’s experience. I founded and actively lead online Long COVID support communities, ensuring that those most in need have connection, guidance, and evidence-based information. Known for staying at the forefront of research in my field, I am both a trusted advocate and a source of clarity in times of confusion. I hold a certificate in patient advocacy from the University of Miami.
