Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
Our health is our most valued possession. Without it, our ability to do almost everything is limited. Very few of us know how our health works and therefore do not know how to maintain it. Health maintenance is of primary importance but paradoxically, health literacy is severely lacking. So many of us could benefit from guidance with managing their health, managing their health care and managing their insurance use.
In my practice, I have seen amazing health improvements when health literacy is addressed, health care provider communication is optimized and insurance coverage is understood and managed. I want to see more of that. I want to do more of that.
