How I Can Help
I specialize in helping older adults, solo agers, people living with serious and chronic illness or cognitive changes, and family caregivers who feel overwhelmed by a diagnosis, healthcare system, or major life transition. If you're not sure what to do next or where to start, I'm here to help you find clarity and move forward with confidence.

As your patient advocate, I can help you:

Navigate a new diagnosis and understand your treatment options.
Prepare for medical appointments by organizing questions and priorities.
Attend appointments with you (when available) and explain complex medical information in plain language.
Coordinate communication between physicians, specialists, hospitals, home care agencies, and family members.
Navigate Medicare, insurance, long-term care, and community resources.
Support families facing dementia, Alzheimer's disease, cognitive decline, or caregiver stress.
Help solo agers build a support network, plan for future healthcare needs, and navigate aging with greater confidence and independence.
Facilitate advance care planning conversations and ensure your wishes are documented and understood.
Create a clear action plan so you feel organized, informed, and empowered to make decisions.

My approach is calm, practical, and relationship-centered. I believe everyone deserves an advocate who can simplify complex systems, reduce stress, and help them make decisions that align with their values and goals.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I'm Jenny Adamo, a social worker and patient advocate with over twenty years of experience supporting individuals and families through healthcare decision-making, care planning, and the realities of illness, aging, and changing support needs.

Over the years, I have seen how fragmented and overwhelming healthcare can become, especially when multiple providers, shifting recommendations, insurance barriers, family dynamics, and practical responsibilities are all colliding at once. I have seen how easily people get lost in the process, and how much clearer things become when someone is there to hold all of the moving pieces and keep the full picture in view.

I also personally understand how complicated it can be to support aging parents while managing the needs of your own household, children, work, and responsibilities. For many families, those pressures are not theoretical — they are happening all at once, often during moments that already feel emotionally and logistically overwhelming.

That reality is what continues to shape my work. I care deeply about helping people move through complex systems with more steadiness, clarity, and support, while staying grounded in what matters most to them and the people they love.

My broader background in advanced care planning, dementia support, and end-of-life doula care allows me to support people thoughtfully across many stages of care and decision-making.

I believe no one should have to navigate these moments alone, and that clarity, dignity, and compassion can coexist, even in the hardest seasons.
